Birding on/around Lake Yojoa

Lake Yojoa is one of Central America's most active birding hotspots.

Experience birding on Lake Yojoa by rowboat or on a day trip around its shore. This is one of the most active birding hotspots in Honduras and, in fact, in Central America. We'll start early in the morning with a fresh cup of local coffee, then work our way through the village down to a canal which passes through protected marshland. Travelling peacefully by rowboat, we'll observe the region's aquatic bird species as we approach a point that is home to numerous toucans.
