A great nature walk over marshland and one of only four government-protected archaeological sites in Honduras.
More Information: Several kilometers of mostly-level nature trails including 1 km of raised boardwalks (fully-restored as of 2020) over protected marshland. Great views of Lake Yojoa and Cerro-Azul Meambar National Park. Also inside the site are unexcavated Lencan ruins and a small museum. Exhibits at the museum, although in Spanish, are extremely interesting for those interested in archaeology and feature some of the only pieces of Lencan pottery on display in Honduras. For the park’s trails we have an eco-friendly, reusable map available at D&D Brewery.
