For our guests and visitors we have the following services on offer:
Enjoy our new rainforest Spa Del Lago and experience the relaxation you deserve while staying at D&D. Three of our team were trained in 2019 by a registered Canadian massage therapist and we built them a new spa area that we’re certain you’ll love. We offer massages for one person if you’re traveling alone, or even couples massages if you’re looking to spend some quality time with your better half (Note: a lot of friends are also enjoying this) Click here to see photos and to get more info!
We know that when traveling in Honduras the unexpected is always possible. We want you to enjoy your vacation without any stress. So, we’ve created a flexible booking policy that we believe is innovative, open-minded, and fair to all parties:
1. More than 24 hours’ notice: If you can’t make it to D&D for any reason, please let us know with 24-hours’ advance notice. This means by 2pm the day before your stay 🙂 If you let us know with at least 24 hours’ notice, then we’re able to move your deposit to any future date without penalty. You will receive credit towards a future booking at any time you’d like. We feel this is a pretty awesome policy.
2. Less than 24 hours’ notice: whether it’s a missed ferry, an issue with bus timetables, or anything else, please just reach out and let us know. We are able to move your reservation without penalty a maximum of two days from your original check-in date. We promise to do our best to place you in the same level of accommodation you originally booked, but we of course can’t guarantee this (and any difference in room cost can be worked out upon your arrival).
3. No notice: also referred to in travel lingo as a “no show,” we, unfortunately, won’t be able to move your booking and we won’t be able to issue any credit towards a future booking. This helps us keep our room rates low; as a small lodging we simply can’t operate without guests 🙂
We offer laundry service which includes washer and dryer. Dirty laundry turned in before 10am is given back clean the same day!
We offer free high-speed internet in the restaurant, common area, and bar for all guests.
Playing cards, chess, checkers, backgammon, jenga (standard and giant-sized!), cornhole, and more are free for all guests to use.
We are happy to print tickets or forms for you for free, within reason 🙂 Just e-mail us the document at email@example.com with the subject line PLEASE PRINT: (YOUR ROOM NUMBER) and we’ll happily take care of that for you.
We have our very own postcards available featuring images of Lake Yojoa and the nearby cloud forest. If you’d like, you can even mail them directly from D&D!
We don’t charge any extra fees to pay by card. No one likes to be hit with fees, right? We accept Visa, MC, AmEx, and Discover.
We’re happy to exchange small amounts of US Dollars to Honduran Lps.
Simply ask out staff for a list of suggestions of gluten-free items and they’ll be happy to provide you with this information.
We offer lockers to safely store your gear for those staying in our mixed dorm rooms. Please note that must bring your own lock; we do not provide locks.
For guests who are traveling with a lot of baggage (no pun intended) but don’t want to haul around so much stuff, we offer free luggage storage. This service is only available to guests who have stayed at least two nights or are on a trip with us as part of D&D Adventures. We are able to hold bags for free for up to one week; afterwards we charge $1 per day per piece of luggage.
We are now an official agency of Hedman Alas as well as for Roneey Shuttle and are able to book tickets for onward travel direct to/from Lake Yojoa and destinations in Guatemala and Nicaragua. We can also book you tickets for arrivals and departures to destinations in Honduras such as Copan, Tegucigalpa, La Ceiba’s Ferry Dock, and more. Even better: You can even book these tickets online at the same time you book your room (save time having to make multiples bookings on multiple websites). Take a look by clicking here and then choosing either “Shuttle Tickets” or “Honduras/Guatemala Bus Tickets.”
